Accomplishments:

  • Developing design/cross-referencing matrix that maps learning outcomes to objectives and assessment

  • Assigned team leaders for Training Responsibilities, End-Shift, and Arrive On Section duties

    Discussed 3 themes as a framework for designing instruction for Training Responsibilities (leadership, emergency, and safety) and the use of fatalgrams and lessons learned from the EUS scenarios to support the emergency training theme.


Open Items:

  • Awaiting updated Workforce Connections modification requests sent to Courtney Cox on 03/20/2007

  • Awaiting feedback regarding Training Responsibilities from Bob Glatter and Jeff Duncan

  • Create Captivate introduction on how to use the JTA content

  • Reconfigure Fatalgram index and linking to MSHA website from NIOSH scenarios

  • Awaiting SME feedback on revised NIOSH scenarios

  • Determine how to incorporate user feedback/comments on training

  • Conduct content verification and usability testing for training

  • Research JTA ‘Scavenger Hunt concept’ for End-Shift and Arrive-On-Section JTAs

  • Determine how to incorporate instructor feedback from NIOSH scenarios

  • Continue testing formatting options (new window sizing, animated menus, audio, etc)

  • Add Technical Requirements guide to site

  • Gather instructional ideas/material for Training Responsibilities, Arrive On Shift, and End Shift training

  • Add GMU credit to training
  • Design evaluation plan


Next Week's Goals:

  • Review system with SMEs Jerry Vance, Sharon Cook, and Sharon Casto

  • Revise training content based on SME feedback

  • Complete the evaluation form in SurveyMonkey so we can send the training content to others for feedback
  • Discuss design ideas for end-shift and arrive on section duties

  • Begin designing Training Responsibilities
