Status Report Date: November 17, 2006
Prepared by: Allison Czapracki
Accomplishments:
- Put together strategy for Design Document/Design Treatment presentation.
- Attended IDEAS 508 Conference in Washington, DC.
- Dr. Dabbagh, Abi, and Joe met with MSHA representatives to discuss several issues regarding Workforce Connections:
- Fitting the overall design approach into a WC skin (JTA & Scenario views, menu layout).
- Workarounds for WC nuances (document naming, accessibility, image display, navigation).
- Converted Fatalgram into Workforce Connections
- The image repository Gallery is now fully functional on team website. Uploaded over 150 images from MSHA and team’s mine visit to Gallery.
- Created scenario-driven sitemap and JTA-driven sitemap.
- Submitted list of media for permission from Colorado DVD.
- Chose images for use in scenarios.
Open Items:
- Continue development of five scenarios in Workforce Connections.
- Courtney Cox (Powertrain and MSHA WC contractor) will build a new skin to accommodate the design approach. He will transform the html template into a WC skin considering the following items:
- All pages will contain the same dynamic navigation tabs across the top linking to the top level folders in WC.
- Left menu items will be dynamically generated from the folders/pages contained within those top level folders. The menu will expand when clicked on to reveal items located within those folders.
- The header image will be built in the future. For now, the current header (or equivalent) can be used as a placeholder until we complete the final image. It is likely the future header image will be larger than the current one to accommodate for the MSHA logo.
- The footer should be changed to match MSHA's preferred footer.
- 'Next' buttons will be available after the correct answer is
submitted.
- WC Skin expected completion date: December 1, 2006.
