MSHA Project Status Report

Accomplishments:
- Formalized the design approach and the instructional strategy for the training to be developed in Workforce Connections
- Presented the performance analysis report to Drs. Kevin Clark and Nada Dabbagh
- Assembled scenarios and assessment items from NIOSH latent image exercises and sent these to Sharon Cook and Jerry Vance for content verification
- Converted entire team website into ModX, created comprehensive resources page
Open Items:
- Get permission from Colorado to use media from their mine supervisor training DVD
- Get feedback from Jerry Vance and Sharon Cook on the pre-shift and emergency and unusual situations JTAs mapped with 30 CFR and scenario training topics
- Get content verification on NIOSH scenarios and assessment items from Sharon Cook and Jerry Vance
- Work with Courtney Cox to develop the visual interface for the supervisory training in Workforce Connections
Next Week's Goals:
- Writing goals and objectives for the six duties i.e. Arrive on section (Duty 6), Conduct on-shift examination (Duty 8), Conduct pre-shift examination (Duty 9), Conduct end-of-shift examination (Duty 10), Emergency and Unusual situations (Duty 11) and Training responsibilities (Duty 12)
- Create Site structure for Workforce connections in Visio
- Continue assembling contents from NIOSH, MSHA, media and other resources for the scenario-based training
Next Week's Meetings:
- Our team meets each week Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9 – 3:30
- Internal team meetings are Wednesday and Thursday, 9:15 – 10
