Accomplishments
  • Workforce Connections
    • Clarify training system design changes (left menu placement, breadcrumbing, progress meter) -- Abandoned
    • Improve Correct/Incorrect feedback formatting and wrapping - Completed
    • Courtney is willing to upload any graphics or video to the server so that they can retain their native file names for easier downloading by the learner.
  • Completed the Evaluation Plan for the training system.
  • Developed instructional framework for Training Responsibilities modules.
  • Emailed letter and online evaluation link to industry SMEs and GMU ISD teams for feedback.
  • Met with Humera to review video needs for training. Her goal is to have all of the clips completed by 4/24-4/25.
  • Attended ID+SCORM Conference held in Provo Utah 4/5-4/6. All team members and Dr. Dabbagh presented the disadvantages and challenges of developing SCORM-compliant supervisor training using Workforce Connections. Approximately 20 ISD professionals attended the presentation.
  • Reviewed the site sent by Sharon Casto to assess relevance to our training.
  • The different JTA views have been updated and uploaded to the training system and team sites.

Open Items:
  • Rashmi, Joe, Allison and Tangie need to resolve the duplicate fatalgram issue for the Emergency & Unusual Situations scenarios (Unsupported Roof Fall Rescue, Continuous Miner Fire, I Can't Get Enough Air, Escape from a Mine Fire).
  • Create Captivate introduction on how to use the JTA content.
  • Complete content verification and usability testing for training, which is in progress.
  • Continue testing formatting options (new window sizing, animated menus, audio, etc).
  • Add Technical Requirements guide to site.
  • Gather instructional ideas/material for Training Responsibilities, Arrive On Shift, and End Shift training.
  • Add GMU credit to training.
  • Test training for SCORM 2004 compliance using ADL tools.
  • Apply DOL best practices (SCORM) to WC objects.

Next Week's Goals:

  • Continue revising training content based on SME feedback
  • Begin collecting and analyzing evaluation responses.
  • Execute design ideas for end-shift and arrive on section duties
  • Begin designing Training Responsibilities.
  • Finalize design matrix.

Next Week's Meetings:
  • Our team works each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9:30 – 3:30
  • Internal team meetings are held on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:15 – 10
