Items Discussed:
- A brief overview of the MSHA project, features and limitations of workforce connections by Dr. Dabbagh
- Jerry and Sharon feel that the scenarios developed are either too basic or outdated. Although some of them could be made available as simple scenarios
- The pre-shift JTA mapping to the 30 CFR to be revised as there have been some new regulations
- Low coal fire scenario and roof fall entrapment scenario to be removed from the training system
- Continuous miner fire scenario, belt fire scenario, and the ventilation cutthrough scenario were revised. Modifications in some questions, responses, regulations were made to these scenarios.
- A recommendation for a modification in the training system interface "When the user clicks "submit" after selecting answers to questions, the user should be returned to the beginning of the questions not the top of the page"
- Each scenario to end with a relevant fatalgram with a link to the detailed investigation report on the fatalgram (the abstract or synopsis of the fatalgrams to be copied into WC including any pictures)
- Jerry and Sharon to develop simple scenarios with the responses to correct/ incorrect answers in WORD documents, the time limit would depend on the users competency level
- They would give us 2-3 scenarios for each JTA
- Sharon Casto to be copied with the list of questions and recommendations for Will P. on Workforce Connections
- Scenarios built around pictures (mine maps mostly) in which a visual examination could include a picture showing something wrong etc.
- Emphasis on new emergency regulations
